Full Time Deed Clerk (Tax Assessors)

The Washington County Board of Assessors is accepting applications for a Clerk position. The main duty of this position is to maintain property records by processing deeds and plats. Requirements include:

  • Must be at least 21
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Customer Service experience is required.
  • Previous knowledge of Property Deeds and Title Research is a valuable asset, but not required.

Part Time Property Tax/Tag Clerk (Tax Commissioner Office)

The Washington County Tax Office is accepting applications for a part-time Motor Vehicle/Tax Clerk position. Applicants must be 18 yrs of age. Must be available to work 30 hours per week. Applicant must have good computer skills, the ability to handle money accurately, basic office skills and excellent customer service skills.

Seasonal/Part Time Splash Pad Assistant (Recreation Department)

The Washington County Recreation Department is seeking two individuals to employ as Splash Pad Assistants (located at 210 North Avenue).  This person will provide leadership and oversee the quest that attend the Splash Pad. Applicants must:

  • Be able to work in heat
  • Be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must show proof of First Aid and CPR Certification

Full Time Mechanic (Road Department):

 The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the Public Works shop (located at 1862 Kaolin Road) related to the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. This position is under the direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic and Public Works Director. The position requires proficiency in the following:

  • General mechanic work
  • Repair and overhaul work on vehicles, heavy and small equipment
  • Basic welding
  • Operation of tools (torches, drills, saws, grinders, etc.)
